Tom Baker is back with the second instalment of Field Day Radio, showcasing the best music, exclusive interviews, mixes and live recordings from artists playing at the Field Day festival in Victoria Park, London.

This month we talk to musician Andrew Bird backstage at his sell out Barbican show. He gives us an insight into his musical upbringing and whistling technique.

Folk and soul singer, Lianne La Havas, shares her festival food tips. She will be playing at the Apple Cart festival, Field Day’s family friendly, sister festival, which takes place on 3rd June 2012.

Plus London indie rock band, Zulu Winter, are in the mix.

We’re very excited about a new project we are working on – Field Day Radio which showcases the best music, exclusive interviews, mixes and live recordings from artists playing at the Field Day festival in Victoria Park, London.

Tom Baker, one of the main founders of Field Day, presents Field Day Radio, broadcasting monthly in the lead up to the Field Day festival on Saturday 2nd June 2012.

The first episode features interviews with Tim Burgess, Metronomy and Django Django. Plus a mix from Casper C. You can listen to the show on The Independent, Field Day website Soundcloud and Mixcloud.

Now in it’s sixth year, Field Day has built up a reputation for bringing the most bold, innovative and imaginative artists and promoters together for one day in a leafy park in East London.
